Artist Bio

Twig Cosby is a studio potter, wood-fire artist, and ceramics educator based near Eugene, OR. With over a decade of experience and a background in production pottery, Twig brings a deep respect for process and utilitarian forms.

For Twig, the magic of clay can be found in subtle details: the soft lift of a curve, the precise meeting of lines, or the gentle contour of flash marks on the ware.

Guided by a belief in the power of shared creative spaces, Twig co-founded Queer Cat, a free ceramics program that supports inclusion and access for LGBTQIA+ wood-fire artists in the Pacific Northwest. You can take ceramics classes with them at Heirloom Ceramic Studio and Radius Art Studio in Portland or at Clay Space and Wildling Collaborative Arts in Eugene. They are the current artist in residence at Pleasant Hill Pottery.

I seek to elevate functional objects to something elegant, unexpected, and unique. Twiggy World is my mind palace, where my creative process leads me in and out of the studio. I hopes there is a little space for “Twiggy World” in your heart and imagination as well!
